Cynarra, Doula/Student Midwife

Hi my name is Cynarra I’ve been a Texan for 10 years originally from Youngstown/Columbus Ohio. My Birth Worker journey started in 2019. Birth Perceptions is always expanding it’s birthing knowledge to reach more family seeking traditional and holistic birth options. I hold my Birth Doula certification with BEST, Student Midwife at ATMMTP Association of Texas Midwifes, and completing Sex Doula and Fertility certification. I also offer Reiki, Enneagram for birth, closing of the hips and yoni steaming. Herbalism is another passion. I attain to be a well-rounded holistic doula. I see every pregnancy and birth as a miracle and as a certified doula evolving to midwifery, I feel honored to be able to contribute my expertise to women and families in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

 

 I’ve always serviced people and families in some capacity Field Instructor for Princeton, taking children on outdoor living skill excursions for a week at a time, I’ve been a nanny in Boston, Columbus, Cleveland and Dallas. My favorite job has to be working in the catering department at the zoo. I love rocking climbing, rafting, hiking, well just anything outdoors. I love traveling and exploring cultures and people. Costa Rica is my favorite so far. Sunday Fundays, consist of trying new restaurants and supporting local merchants. I’ve been transitioning from employment to full time birth work. I can’t believe all the amazing moments I’ve been a part of and the wonderful people I’ve met through-out the birthing community.

Birth work has been a passion of mine for long time. The experience of pregnancy and birth has evolved over the years, especially in today’s modern era. But birthing and labor has not. Birth Perceptions is receptive of all family dynamics. I have experience with single mothers, plus size mothers, postpartum mood disorders, VBAC, LGBTQ and Poly families. I'm aware and educated on different cultures. I have lived with and have been immersed in many such as ; Korean, Filipino, and Nigerian, etc. I am able to adapt with uncultured bias to service many different types of families.

I believe that the need for caring, sensitive and knowledgeable support during this time is becoming more and more apparent.
